Class 12 vs. Class 13 Permits – Which One Do You Need?
Class 13 Server Permit
Minimum Age:
18 years old

✓ Open and pour beer or wine from bottle or can into a customer’s glass in areas not restricted to minors
Class 12 Mixologist Permit
Minimum Age:
21 years old

We issue the correct permit automatically based on your date of birth (you must be 18+ to enroll). Class 13 holders can upgrade to Class 12 for free upon turning 21.
Your permit is valid for 5 years from the date you pass the exam and expires on the first day of the month following the 5-year anniversary of your test date. Retake the course before expiration (recommended 45–60 days prior).
